Believe it or not, you should always carry a needle in your pocket. It can save yours or someone else`s life.
Using a needle you can help someone (or yourself) having a stroke, long enough for the paramedics to arrive. During a stroke, brain capillaries tear apart, so the cerebrum stops receiving the proper amounts of oxygen. This way the cerebrum cells are being destroyed, so it requires quick medical help or the consequences can be fatal.
What to do if this happens, how can you save someone who`s having a stroke?
The most important thing is to stay calm and call 911 immediately. Until the paramedics arrive, don`t move the person who`s having a stroke. Take a needle (preferably medical needle), make sure it`s clean and sterilized, and prick the tips of every finger, as close to the nails as possible, and as quickly as possible. Blood will start spilling from the fingers- if not, press the finger until blood comes out. The person will quickly regain consciousness. Now all you can do is wait for the paramedics to take over.
In case the person`s mouth is crooked, massage their ears until they get red. This will improve blood circulation. Then, use the needle to prick the softest part of the earlobe twice, so that 2 drops of blood will come out.Shortly, their mouth will return to normal. And again, sit still and wait for the paramedics to come.
You`ve probably saved someone`s life, congratulations!
